Kidney and Pancreas Transplant for Wesly Wright
Donation protected
I am a 42-year-old resident of Rexburg, Idaho. I am a husband and father of 3 teens. On Dec. 31, 1999, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Living with diabetes has always been a hardship,. I suffered from diabetic retinopathy but overcame that after having 16 eye surgeries including laser, 2 vitrectomies, and 2 cataract surgeries. In 2019, I was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure. To make a long story short. I have been on dialysis for 5 years. I am finally active, on the transplant list, and need help raising the funds for my post-care recovery. This includes food, travel, and lodging expenses. Normally, the transplant center recommends raising $5,000-$10,000, but because of insurance I only need to come up with the initial expenses. There may be more expenses down the line, but for right now... I only need what I am asking for.
If you donate I, I will be most grateful to you. It's been a struggle going to dialysis 3 days a week, and 4 1/2 hours for each treatment. Not being able to work like I want. Getting this surgery will not be an easy path, but it is better than death, and I want to fight the good fight. So, thank you for your generosity!!!!!! May God bless you for your sacrifice.
Feb 25, 2024... I am now on standby for my donor. After talking to the transplant team, they want me to raise $5,000-$10,000 for my post recovery. Please continue to share and donate. Thanks
Feb 28, 2024... The transplant was cancelled because the organs were not viable. This means that I am at the top of the list for the surgery.
