Help Jocelyn Fight Kidney Disease & Keep Her Family Afloat
Hi, my name is Jocelyn, and I’m reaching out for help during one of the hardest, most heartbreaking times in my life.
In March 2023, I was diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease, and since then, my life has been a constant battle. Each day brings new challenges, but I refuse to give up. Now, I need help to keep going—not just for myself but for my family who depends on me.
My Journey: A Life Turned Upside Down
For years, I worked hard to support myself and my family. I was employed at a psychic network, doing my best to stay afloat. But everything changed in May 2023 when I suffered a stroke that left me unable to work.
The months that followed were a struggle. I focused on recovery, relying on unemployment benefits until I was strong enough to work again. I even qualified for disability, which provided a small lifeline.
When I finally found a new job, I felt hopeful again. But that hope was short-lived—I was let go after just a couple of months. Still, I refused to let my circumstances break me.
Determined to provide for myself and my family, I turned to freelance writing . I found success on NewsBreak, where I was earning up to $5,000 per month at my peak. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I was back on my feet. But just as quickly as things had improved, they came crashing down again—NewsBreak unexpectedly blocked me from posting, cutting off another vital source of income.
Now, my savings are gone, my credit cards maxed out, and my bank account empty. My disability payments barely cover my essentials, and my rent alone is $1,000 per month. On top of everything, I am the sole provider for my father and brother, both of whom depend on me for stability ❤️.
Why I’m Asking for Help
Right now, I am at a point where I cannot do this alone. I am humbly asking for $10,000 to help with:
Rent & Bills – To keep a roof over my family’s head.
Medical Expenses – While Medicare helps, I still need at least $3,000 for my kidney transplant and recovery. Post-Surgery Care – After my transplant, I’ll need time to heal before I can work again.
Every day is a fight—not just for survival but for the chance to live a full, healthy life again. I want to be able to work, to provide for my family, and to have a future beyond just struggling to make it through each month.
I Am Fighting, But I Need Support
I am not someone who gives up. Even in the face of hardship, I have been trying everything I can to earn an income. I recently started publishing books on Amazon KDP, hoping it will provide a stable source of income over time. But that takes months, sometimes years, to build up.
Right now, I don’t have months—I need immediate help just to keep going.
Every Dollar, Every Share Counts
I know that times are tough for many people, and asking for help is never easy. But I truly have no other options right now.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to me . Every single dollar makes a difference—whether it helps pay for my medication, covers a meal, or goes toward rent so my family has a place to sleep.
If you aren’t in a position to donate, I completely understand. But you can still help by sharing this fundraiser with others. Just one share could connect me with someone who can help.
From the Bottom of My Heart, Thank You
This journey has been incredibly hard, but I am holding on to hope. With your kindness and generosity, I believe I can get through this and build a better future for myself and my family.
Thank you for your love, support, and compassion. I appreciate you more than words can express.
