Kidney Donor Expense Fund

Asking another living person to give an organ to save your child's life is incredibly difficult and yet, we've been blessed to have had a significant number of potential candidates step forward. There are no words to describe the overwhelming gratitude we feel for this immense life-giving kindness.

I'm reaching out with another big request. I'm seeking help to support the expenses associated with the candidate's out-of-state travel expenses, lodging, childcare, lost wages, and post-transplant care.

National Kidney Registry offers a Donor Shield program to cover these expenses; however, we recently learned Cincinnati Children's does not take part in the program; therefore, we're seeking assistance to help cover the expenses for our donor.

My daughter Kendall is 17-yrs old and needs (1) kidney to live. She was born with a birth defect that has been repaired, but irreparably damaged her kidneys. Thanks to the immense kindness and generosity of another, she will live a long, healthy and full life. Her family, friends and the community will continue to experience the joy she brings to every aspect of life. Her life will be saved!
