Kidney Transplant Surgery (August 30, 2022)

In November 2017, Justin Rayner was diagnosed with end-stage renal failure including congestive heart failure, and in need of a kidney transplant. Much has transpired since his diagnosis including multiple hospitalizations, A-Fib attacks, numerous heart issues, pneumonia, and oxygen intake problems. Justin has been to multiple specialists preparing to be approved for a surgery date and it has FINALLY arrived! After almost five years of dialysis, his kidney transplant is scheduled for August 30th at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Justin has a live donor who is a perfect match. She has waited alongside him for the surgery date and we are so grateful for her gift!

 

Needless to say, this type of surgery places a huge financial strain on the recipient. The previous fundraiser assisted Justin with expenses related to hospital visits and costs associated with multiple trips to local hospitals and Arizona for testing. There are many costs involved in a kidney transplant including the surgery, lifesaving rejection and maintenance medications, living/transport expenses in Arizona for several months for Justin and his donor with their caregivers, insurance copayments, and loss of income while in recovery.

 

Justin is not one to ask for help, but he needs financial assistance. There are many ways you can help in his time of need!
