Kids Without Cages
Tax deductible
The specific purpose of Kids Without Cages is to help provide charitable, humanitarian, medical and legal support to refugee children who have been detained and separated from their families at the US/Mexican boarder.
Kids Without Cages is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
As it stands today, there are approximately 437 children on the border with no paperwork that have been separated from their parents for over a year and 30% of them are five years old or younger with dozens of toddlers included in this figure. Just in the last month, the US reunited 219 children with their families, but the project is a long way from being finished. As you likely know, there is also a massive bed shortage for these children and many additional thousands now seeking asylum.
In an effort to amplify our efforts, we will make contact with Jacob Soboroff, Author of the New York Times Best Seller 'Separated' and Lee Gerent, the National Director of the ACLU and the individual in charge of the border immigration issue. Initial funds will be used for basic food, shelter, clothing, education, and other legal/administrative needs. From there, we hope to assist with DNA tracing and the reunification of children with their families.
Help me get these kids back to their parents!
