Kieran Ebanks Memorial Fund
Donation protected
My name is Stacia Franz and I am the wife of the late Kieran Ebanks. He is and always will be the love of my life.
I've created this account to raise money to start what I believe will be a lifetime of work to improve access to mental health supports for officers inside and outside their workplace.
I will be working with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies and mental health organizations to identify and create unique and specific solutions tailored to officers to hopefully prevent future tragedies like the loss of my husband.
It has now become clear that the best way to honour Kieran’s life and legacy is to ensure that no other officer suffers without support, that no other wife is widowed at 36, and that no other officer suffers in silence. Law enforcement can be a dangerous job and as officers work each and every day to protect our families and communities, we need to ensure they have the support they need when they need it before it’s too late.
As a country, we know we can do better in recognizing and supporting mental health. As a society, we can normalize talking about how we struggle. And, as one widow, I can spend the rest of my life working in memory of the man who would have done anything for me and our community.
Anything you can give is so appreciated. I am committed to sharing regular updates of where and how the funds are being used to move mental health forward for officers in our community and across the country. I love you all and want you to know that you are loved, valued, and needed. The world is a better place with you in it.
Love always,
Stac
