Kieran Ferguson- APEX 2023 Fundraiser

Hello, my name is Kieran Ferguson, I am a junior at Saint Joseph’s University and this year I have chosen to participate in a Spring Break service/immersion program, The Appalachian Experience (APEX).

This spring-break immersion program brings SJU students to the Appalachian Region, educates them about the social justice issues of the region, and forms a long-lasting community both in the region and with their peers. This immersion is built on the pillars of Kinship and Solidarity, Cura Personalis, Education, Reflection, and Justice. The Appalachian Experience is dedicated to immersing in the region of Appalachia and encountering the communities who call Appalachia home. APEX invites students to build community both on campus and with the people of the Appalachian region through an encounter of kinship and service and to continue living in solidarity upon return.

This is my second year participating in this program and my first as a leader. In the 30-year history of APEX, countless connections have been made and lives reformed. If you would consider supporting me in reaching my fundraising goal of $600, I would be most grateful.
