Kieran Ferguson- APEX 2024 Fundraiser

Hello, my name is Kieran Ferguson. I am a senior at Saint Joseph’s University and, this Spring, I am again participating in APEX, The Appalachian Experience (APEX). APEX is a service immersion program through St. Joe's campus ministry that focuses on serving the community of Appalachia.

The mission of APEX is to serve with and for the community of Appalachia, to build community amongst the community of SJU, and to build community between the communities of Appalachia and Saint Joseph's University. Throughout APEX, St. Joe's students will be immersing at twelve different sites in Appalachia. This immersion is built on the pillars of Community, Reflection and Service. This year, I have the great honor to immerse in the community of West Jefferson, North Carolina, where my co-leader Michaela Walsh and I will be leading a group of students to serve with and for Ashe County Habitat for Humanity.

This will be my third and final year participating in this program as a student at SJU and my second year participating as a leader.
