Kiira’s medical expenses
Donation protected
New update: a Kiira is out of surgery. Things are not great. They said upon opening her up her intestines were enlarged and falling apart in they’re hands causing an extreme assumption of lymphoma. She still is not eating which is a concern because if she won’t eat I cannot take her home meaning the more expensive this is going to get. It’s unlikely that it’s anything else but I’m remaining hopeful that maybe there’s a sliver of chance we can still treat this. My heart is broken, and I haven’t been able to be in my home with her. Im lost and trying my best to keep a positive mind but it’s very difficult in this extremely hard time.
Update as of 5:26: the doctors are pretty convinced it’s cancer but need the biopsy to be sure. They don’t believe she’ll make the weekend/week being home if she doesn’t receive the biopsy ASAP. It’s an estimated 4K and they only have one spot tomorrow morning otherwise they don’t have anything for two weeks. It’s sounds silly to most people but Kiira is the only thing in my life that keeps me waking up in the morning. I understand she won’t live forever but 5 years just selfishly, isn’t enough for me. I’m grateful and very appreciative of those who have donated and shared and continue to share.
Hey everyone, those who know me know asking for money is the last thing I ever want to do but when it comes to my baby there’s nothing I can do. Kiira became sick April 21st and our first ER trip was April 23rd. Since then we have been battling constant bloody diarrhea and vomiting. We have been in and out of the Vet’s office trying everything and anything we can, antibiotics, probiotics, de wormer etc. Last week she officially stopped eating and had about lost 10lbs. She is absolute skin and bones. Yesterday the person I had check on her said she was a little sleepier then normal and not quite herself and then when I arrived home from work she was throwing up a clear liquid without even trying. It appeared it was just falling out of her mouth. I rushed her to the ER and they had to keep her over night to run more tests and hopefully get some answers. The estimated cost of just finding an answer was $2,600. They did an ultrasound this afternoon and have seen ulcers as well as some thinning of her intestinal wall and need to take a biopsy of her intestines to determine if its a treatable cancer and or a bowel disease. She’s my absolute everything in this world. I moved into my own place at 21 with a jam packed car and 4 month old puppy in hand and have spent the past 5 years coming home to a wet nose and a quiet house and gone to bed with her head at my feet. She’s been my light to any darkness, I cannot imagine my life without her so soon with only being 5 years old and prior to a month ago completely happy and healthy. Any and all help is greatly appreciated to hopefully have my baby home and healthy again. Thank you to all who have helped get me this far.
