Kiki & Dvo's Service Dog Training

Kiki has battled Non-Epileptic Seizures for five years and we have finally found a partner for her! Dvo is a two-year-old Labradane (Lab x Great Dane mix). We adopted him from Soul Dog Rescue and he has quickly become an important part of our lives! He and Kiki immediately bonded and are now inseparable. He has passed all of his initial tests to become her Seizure Response Dog and today we signed the paperwork to begin his official training! His first task is to memorize the smell of her during a seizure and alert her any time he smells this scent! We are working with Dog Training Elite which specializes in this type of training. This training will take 12-24 months. They will begin shortly after the new year! The goal is that Kiki will be able to go out, go shopping, socialize, and even go to college with Dvo at her side. Ultimately, she can become the independent, brave, young woman that we know she can be! This type of training is not cheap, but it will be invaluable to her! Kiki is planning to pay for most of this herself, so anything helps. :)
