Support Kilimanjaro Kids in Tanzania, Create a Next Story of Hope.
In Africa, Tanzania Mount Kilimanjaro area lives Chagga people. A lot of them work to support Kilimanjaro tourist climbing as guides, cooks and porters.
We started to know them in the July of 2022 during our Kilimanjaro Summit climbing.
Eligius’ Kilitreks team is one of them. They depend on Climbing Kilimanjaro Tourism for a living.
To provide basic needs for their families, such as food, clothes and shelter, the Chagga people work in very poor conditions and face climbing dangerous daily with very low compensation.
Many fail to provide an essential need for their children’s future, a good education. Lack of access to essentials like barriers to their kids’ education.
Over the past two years, covid-19 pandemic made their life even worse. No climbing tourist means no income for them. They live in debt for essentialities and kids’ school fees.
We would like to raise the fund for the team’s children. Your donation will be dedicated to the children’s school fees. We do appreciate your great generosity very much!
Below is the Tanzania school fees reference.
- Government Secondary school: $200 - $250 per child per year.
- Private Primary school and English Medium: US$400 - US$600 per child per year.
- Private Primary school and English Medium (boarding): $850 - $900 per child per year.
- College (not boarding): US$500 - US$700 per year per child
Some of the kids’ friends are from a single-parent families. They live in a challenging environment. Their parents failed to provide for their basic needs.
All kids need your support for education to have a promising future.
