Hi folks,
My name is Killian and I'm only five months old. I should have my whole life ahead of me, but I can't hear and see very little. I want so much to live and find out about the world around me!!!!
Here is my story…
I am one of 10 puppies born on October 13, 2015. I was the last of my brothers and sisters to be born and my mom took a long time to have me, almost 15 hours. They say I had some problems from the very start. I was little and had a very serious infection when I was 3 days old, I was on oxygen for 2 days. After that I just wasn't quite the same, I heard them call me special. I really feel like I am special, I just did not know that there was a reason. My mom and my foster mom took really good care of me and made sure I had my food and medicine. I even posed for my 8 week old picture, boy wasn't I something I liked that!
I am a 58lb., 5 month old scrappy lad and very strong for my foster mom to handle. Over the last few months I have had some issues that are getting worse they tell me. I can hardly hear at all and I am getting scared. I also have problems seeing, but at night it is really bad. They leave a light on so I do not get too scared when I sleep.
I like riding in the car and my favorite place to visit is Home Depot. I do not like it so much when my foster mom takes me to these places they call vets. Last Saturday, I went to a new one called a Neurologist. They say there is something wrong with my brain but without this thing called an MRI they cannot tell for sure what the damage is or how to treat it. I also have some tummy issues and I am on some medications for that. They say I may need some additional testing later.
Here is my problem:
I was born in a great rescue and I continue to live with my foster, who I just adore. The rescue also has many other needy dogs and cats right now so they need to raise money to pay for my MRI and other tests that I may need.
I want to live a great doggy life but may not be able to do so without these tests and I know the rescue really cares about me and wants to get these done as soon as possible.
So I am asking you to look at my face and PLEASE consider giving to my Medical Testing Fund so they can get these things scheduled so I can go about playing, eating, and learning. I want to live so much! Can you help me?
