Killian’s 3rd Birthday-String of Pearls Donation

On October 23rd, we will be celebrating the 3rd birthday of our beautiful son, Killian. Since we don’t have the opportunity to watch Killian grow up, to see him tear open presents or watch him blow out the candles on his cake - we will once again be making a donation to String of Pearls on his birthday. Named after another beautiful child that had to run ahead, Pearl’s parents started this organization to support families who receive a fatal diagnosis during pregnancy and to follow them throughout their first year of loss.

String of Pearls continues to provide community and support for our family. In late 2021 Katie and her mom had the opportunity to attend an event they organized, connecting to other loss moms and having a morning together to share stories of their children. It was a beautiful event and allowed for opportunities to openly discuss not just the pain of this loss but also all of the love that exists.
