Help Us Build the SheShed – A Space for Everyone!

Hi, my name is Lewis, and I officially registered with the Scottish Men’s Shed Association on December 1, 2024. Over the past few weeks, our community has come together in an incredible way, showing just how much a project like this is needed.

Following our first community meetings, the enthusiasm and engagement have been amazing, and we are now in the process of appointing a committee and officially registering Kilsyth Community Shed as a not for profit organisation!

As our vision has grown, so has our community. More women have joined, and at our last meeting, we agreed to expand our project to include a SheShed—a welcoming space where women can come together to learn, share skills, and connect. To make this happen, the men’s group has committed to prioritizing the construction of a concrete base and the erection of a polytunnel that we’ve already been generously donated. This will allow the SheShed to start sowing seeds for bedding and decorative plants in time for spring!

But we need your help to make this a reality. We’re raising funds to purchase the materials needed for the foundation work, as well as tools and resources to get the polytunnel up and running. Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference in building a space that fosters creativity, skill-sharing, and friendship for everyone in our community.
