Kim and Family: Starting Over After Storm
Donation protected
My name is Lexi and I am one of the managers at Fallon's Bar and Grill. I am also the one who sets up all of our events and fundraisers month to month.
St. Patrick's Day weekend, which is our busiest time of the year and so much fun for most.. led to a lot of pain, stress, and hurt for one of our part time managers. The big storm came in that Friday night as a lot of us were still at work and preparing for a big weekend. We were down to the last few people left in the bar and as we were finishing cleaning up an unexpected call came.
Kim, our manager, was working and her husband called her in panic. A massive tree fell on their house while him and their cats were inside. Thankfully they are all safe and unharmed physically. Their house on the other hand was deemed uninhabitable.
Their plan is to fix the house but are waiting for insurance to come out next week with more information. They were able to grab a suitcase worth of stuff each and that is all they have left as everything else has been ruined from the water and mold. As of now they are homeless and staying with family temporarily. They have a long journey ahead and not sure what to do just yet but are taking each day as they can.
Please help us in giving some support to them while they navigate what to do.
We will give more updates.
