Kim and Monte Evenson, husband and wife have been faced with some challanges in life. They are loving and supportive parents to their 3 children. They both are dealing with the heartbreaking diagnosis of cancer. Kim was diagonsed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2012 and is following a chemotherapy treatment plan.
In April, Monte, noticed he wasn’t feeling well. He was having stomach pains that came and went. Then in early July, he started feeling bloated and had a lot of swelling in his ankles.
He went to the emergency room, where tests showed that he had a large mass on his liver. He was hospitalized for a couple days.
Further testing showed that he had a blood clot in the blood vessel that brings blood to the liver from the intestines, and that the mass on his liver is cancerous. They made several trips to the Mayo Clinic, only to find that there are no treatment options.
Their journey is long and devistating prayers and donations are greatly appreciated.
