Kim ‘Busty Beatz’ Bowers cancer support

Donation protected

Our beloved Queen Bee Kim ‘Busty Beatz’ Bowers has been diagnosed with breast cancer and we need your help to support the costs of medical treatment, mental and physical well-being, day-to-day living expenses and childcare through this time.

Busty is a beacon in our creative community, a tireless advocate for Sovereignty, Justice, Equity, Visibility and the Arts as a tool for social change. She's also a single mum, working as an independent artist and community activist without any income support. So we are calling on you, our village, to help in any way you can at this time.

Please support by donating and sharing if you have the capacity.
It takes a village ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

We are overwhelmed by the incredible support we have received, so have decided to increase our goal so we can extend the level of support we can provide for Busty. Sending love and appreciation to you, our community ❤️

A bit about Busty Beatz

A killer Music Director, Sound Artist and Multi-disciplinary performance maker, Busty Beatz has been creating fearless art to activate, pollinate and liberate for over 25 years. Of Xhosa heritage and living on the unceded territories of the Yuggera People, she signed her first record deal at sixteen, recording and touring for over a decade – this era immortalised via Sophie Howath’s Book - Peace, Love and Brown Rice, ABC’s Recovery, and her place in the Women Who Rock exhibition of the Melbourne Arts Centre.

Busty has created music locally and globally for theatre, cabaret, music circus, screen, visual arts and dance. She is the Co-creator, MD and Queen Bee of the international smash hit Hot Brown Honey winning the UK Total Theatre Award, Two Green Rooms and a Helpmann. Adhering to a manifesto of creative, collective power through collaboration, Busty Beatz creates global sonic experiences intersecting disciplines, politics, activism and soundlines.
