On Tuesday, February 26th Kim, Henry and Bea lost their husband and father very suddenly and tragically.
The outpouring of love and support for Kim and the kids has been unbelievable, and is evidence for how loved this family is.
If you know Kim, you know that she never asks for help, takes care of everyone (and everyone’s kids) and loves doing it. So accepting support has been, and will be, a major adjustment for her, to say the least. She is so sincerely humbled and moved, beyond words, by the generosity and love that has come pouring in from family, friends and neighbors. Thank you for all that you have done! You are all extraordinary!
Unfortunately, the tragic circumstances surrounding Mac’s death did not leave Kim with a reserve of resources. In the coming months, the challenges Kim will have to face are steep, but so is the love and devotion of this community, both near and far. As Kim makes it through this very difficult transition and begins to plan for the financial challenges of a future as a single mom who is starting from scratch—house payments; medical bills; middle school sports and activities; feeding and clothing her amazing two kids, growing from tweens to teens; as well as high-school and college expenses ahead—we would love to provide them with as much continued support as possible.
