Kim Kidd needs some Love & Support
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, Clients of Kim's,
Kim had a routine orthoscopic knee surgury on March 27th. On April 5th her knee started swelling and hurting and alarming amount. On the 7th her doctor saw her and drained the knee. The fluid that came out showed signs of infection, with lots of tests they decided to admit her to Dominican that same evening. The next morning they did another surgury to flush and try and remove the infection. After culturing the fluid that came from her knee they have decided it is Serratia Marcescens. And infection that is much worse than Staff.
Today the infectious disease doctor told her she would not be able to work for at least 6 weeks. She is being treated with a very strong antibiotic and will have a Pick line put in to allow the medicine to be given intravenously.
Some of worst news for someone who is self employed, is that they can't work. If we don't work, we don't make money. There is no disability insurance or paid time off. Kim had planned to come back to work after 2 weeks and now this is adding another 6 weeks to her recovery. With a minimum of 8 unpaid weeks and medical bills coming soon, she could really use some HELP.
We are asking for commmunity support, so that Kim can focus on healing and not lose energy worrying about what and incredible stain this is on her family.
Kim and Salon Santa Cruz will greatly appreciate any donation you can make.
P.S.
I can't imagine all the help she will need beyond finacial, so if your able reach out to her.
(She can be reached by her work number.)
