Kim Quinn battling stage 4 cancer
Donation protected

My mom has been so strong while battling stage 4 cancer since August of 2023.
In August she had pneumonia and was treated for it. From the scans they did, they saw what looked like a tumor. My mom was very weak and felt fatigued for weeks. But, her doctor told her to go back to work, the growth isn’t an “immediate concern”. They’ll get the test results back from the blood work and they’ll call her. Well, when she was finally got the results, it was confirmed. It was definitely a tumor.
After two months, yes, TWO months of having a tumor until she was seen by an oncologist. Who also had no sense of urgency. They ran more tests and took scans and it showed she now had tumors on both adrenal glands. When we met the surgeon he immediately asked “Why am I just now seeing you?! You should have been seen way sooner?!?” At that point, her surgery was immediately scheduled. The surgery was to remove one adrenal gland for a biopsy. The tumor was larger than the gland itself. This was in January of 2024.
When the tests results came back from the biopsy, it confirmed that it is cancer that is metastatic. Meaning it originated somewhere else and has spread. Now, within 8 months since the this awful journey began… the cancer has spread from her lungs, to her adrenal glands, and recently we found out it is in her kidney and liver as well.
She’s been in and out of the hospital. The chemotherapy has killed a lot of her good white cells and she has pneumonia again. But she is so strong and resilient, and we’re fighting with her and for her.
She has such a beautiful heart. She’s always been a warm, comforting, selfless woman. And if you know her, you know what I mean. She’s a mom, a grandma, a wife, a daughter, a role model, my hero, a force to be reckoned with, and my best friend.
It would mean the world if you kept my mom in your prayers. And if you’re able to do more than a prayer, please consider donating and/ or sharing our GoFund Me. I made this to ease any other stressors in my parents life. And starting with the financial support for any medical bills seems like a good place to start. We are all still positive and believe in the touch of God, so please pray for my mom.
And if you’re able, any donation helps, even $1. Your donations will be going toward medical bills, expenses, and for my brother’s future. Thank you for reading this. We need all the Love and support we can get.
Thank you so much,
Kim’s Kicking Cancer’s Ass Army
