Kim's Cancer Medical Support
Donation protected
In October of 2012, my aunt Kim was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. After years of trying different medications, she was finally able to find one that helped prolong the progression of her lesions on both her brain and her spine.
Fast forward 5 years, to October of 2017.
She went to her physician's office and was asking about an extremely sharp pain she was having in her shoulder, which at times made it hard to breathe. Kim's physician thought maybe she was having minor heart attacks, or possibly had a Pulmonary Embolism. Luckily, neither of these were the case.
After missing many work days (both by herself and her son, Vinny) from doctor's visits, labs, biopsies, CT & PET scans. The doctors found masses in both her lungs and spleen. Kim has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Small Cell Carcinoma. [Lung Cancer] A treatable, but non-curable cancer.
Currently, she is scheduled to start chemotherapy on Friday, January 5, 2018.
All of this information has come very fast for our family. Which has made it difficult for Kim to keep ahead on her medical expenses. So, we are taking a step back, we're acknowledging the battle Kim is now fighting along side her MS. We, as a family, are right beside her, every step of the way, supporting her with everything we have.
Now, we are setting our pride aside, and we are asking for your help as well...
Whether it is a prayer, words of encouragement, reaching out to help with meals or rides to appointments, or helping to offset the costs of her diagnosis and treatments. Our goal is to pay off her medical expenses that have already started to grow due to the diagnosis, and to stay ahead of the upcoming bills in 2018.
We cannot thank you enough for any and all support that we receive!!
