Help support Kimberlin’s Multi-visceral Transplant
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
For the last 14 years, my wife has battled to find answers for the severe issues affecting her stomach and intestines. She’s been diagnosed with CIPO (Chronic Intestinal Pseudo Obstruction), intestinal failure, gastroparesis, and more. After years of searching, we finally found doctors who took her complex conditions seriously.
We faced many challenges finding specialists who were able to treat her case, as most found her medical history “too complex.” When she developed infections from her TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) that became resistant to treatment, we had to travel long distances just to manage life-threatening sepsis.
Eventually, we were referred to Indiana University, where doctors acted quickly to evaluate her. They’ve determined that she will need a multi-visceral or modified multi-visceral transplant to survive. Her situation is urgent—she is down to one remaining line for her TPN, and losing it would prevent her from being listed for the transplant. She’s currently on the transplant list, waiting for her miracle call.
We are raising funds to help cover parking fees, food, medical supplies not covered by insurance, and the many unexpected costs that come with this journey. Her post-transplant medication alone will cost around $2,000, and that’s just one of several she’ll need.
We deeply appreciate any support, whether it’s sharing our story or donating. Thank you for being part of #TeamKimberlin.
