Kimberly Driskell’s medical journey- help needed

UPDATE as of 08/07/2023:

We have learned that, due to the lack of oxygen, Kimberly has sustained brain damage. This is another life-altering event on top of her leg amputation. As a result, she is still unresponsive after being transferred to a long-term care facility. Help is needed with getting comfort and personal care items for her. All donations/ words of comfort are appreciated.

At approximately 12:16AM on June 5, 2023, 19 y/o Kimberly Driskell was struck by a vehicle while walking with her cousin from a nearby gas station. Kimberly was hit at a high rate of speed, causing multiple life changing and threatening injuries. She is currently unresponsive in ICU. As of this post, she’s undergone testing and multiple surgeries. It has been determined that Kimberly has a fractured jaw, broken arm, two broken legs, a collapsed lung, ruptured liver, breathing with the assistance of a mechanical ventilator and had to have her spleen removed. As a result of the impact which disrupted the blood flow to her left leg, she’s currently in surgery to have her leg amputated above her knee. Her care team expects her to be hospitalized at least a few months, with a long road to recovery ahead of her. On behalf of Kimberly, her mother Toni and the Driskell family, we are asking for your support to assist Kimberly in her recovery, which includes medical expenses and quality of life. Kimberly has always been a hard worker and independent spirit. We want to help her have as normal of a life possible post accident and recovery. Thank you all in advance.
