Kimberly (Gallagher) Ferrara fund for Jackson

My name is: Diane Napolitano, mother of Kimberly A. (Gallagher) Ferrara.

On Sunday, my beloved daughter, Kim passed away from complications due to the COVID virus. She leaves behind an 11-year-old son, Jackson D. Ferrara (Jax). Instead of flowers, the family and I would like to start a college fund for him.

Kim and Jax were each other’s world. Everything she did, she did for him. They made each other laugh, loved being with each other and were inseparable. Kim taught him so much in their short time together. Jax is a bright, kind, well-mannered and thoughtful person due to Kim’s teachings. Kim would be comforted to know that a GoFundme is set up to help Jax go to college when the time comes. Flowers will not last or help Jax go to college, but this money will be available when he is ready to attend college.

A little about Kim:

Kim always wanted to open a childcare center. It has been a dream of hers since she was in her late teens. She was finally able to make this dream a reality in January 2019. As everyone is aware, a few months later the pandemic arrived. Kim struggled to take care of the children at her daycare, work alongside her staff and keep her center afloat. Unfortunately, the pandemic continued, people weren’t working, and she wasn’t able to keep a full staff. Unfortunately, she then contracted COVID.

She was a smart, funny, and happy person. Her smile lit up any room she walked into and was loved by so many people.

In addition to her many friends, Kim also leaves behind her brother, Scott Gallagher, her partner, Sean Grogan, Jax’s father Eric Ferrara, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, to mourn her passing.
