Dear cherished friends, beloved family, and the kind-hearted souls who extend their compassion to us,
It is with a profound sense of sorrow and a heavy heart that we reach out to you today. We find ourselves navigating a moment of unimaginable grief and loss. On Friday, October 27th, our beloved mother, the heart and soul of our family, Kimberly Leaman, departed from this world in the most unexpected and heartbreaking manner, succumbing to a heart attack at the age of 64.
Kimberly was not just a mother, but a beacon of unwavering love and light in our lives. She and our father crossed paths in 1979, and for over four decades, they shared their lives in San Jose, California, where they raised my sister and me. She possessed a warmth and kindness that endeared her to everyone she encountered. To many of our friends, she was not just a friend but a second mother, offering her boundless love and wisdom.
Her early years were marked by a nomadic childhood, living in various countries around the world and immersing herself in diverse cultures. These experiences left an indelible mark on her, shaping her into the extraordinary woman we were privileged to call our mother. She instilled in us the values of hard work, fairness, and treating every soul with the utmost respect and equality. Throughout her life, she tirelessly devoted herself to her work and held her fellow human beings in the highest regard.
In 2018, my parents made the decision to move to Paso Robles, seeking a well-deserved semi-retirement and the chance to savor the fruits of their labor. These last years allowed her to be closer to family, surrounded by the enchanting rolling hills of Paso Robles, and it was a period of serenity and contentment for her.
We are now embarking on this GoFundMe campaign to honor our mother's life and legacy. Your support, in whatever form it may take, will help us cover the costs of her funeral service, the arrangements for her memorial, and the numerous expenses that have arisen from this unexpected loss. Your generosity will also alleviate the financial strain that weighs heavy on our grieving hearts, allowing us to find solace and closure during this most challenging of times.
With the deepest wellspring of gratitude,
