Kimberly McCray Funeral Costs

New Year's 2020 Tragedy
My longtime friend and colleague, Debbie Bird, is grieving the unexpected death of her daughter, Kimberly McCray, who died tragically on New Year's Day. Kim, a resident of Alaska, was a beautiful woman blessed with compassion, humor, and a love of nature. She was the mother of a son who is a Marine stationed in Okinawa, Japan and a daughter who lives in Oklahoma. Kim had just changed employers due to a great job offer and so does not have life insurance benefits.
Debbie and the whole family are grateful for the prayers, support, and expressions of sympathy. Many of you have reached out to ask how you can help. I have set up this Gofundme campaign to help with the mounting costs of travel and funeral expenses. The family is traveling to Alaska to deal with Kim's personal affairs, belongings, and to accompany her remains home for burial in Oklahoma. We anticipate the initial costs to be approximately $20,000.
Anything you have to offer at this time will be a great help and would be greatly appreciated.
I would like to thank you also for the kindness and respect of privacy shown to their family at this time.
