Kimberly Strickland's Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
My name is Annette Henderson, and I am starting this fundraiser for my daugher Kim.
Kimberly was diagnosed with melanoma stage 3A, September 9, 2016. It started in her left upper arm. In August of 2021, she started immunotherapy and had a surgery to remove lymphnodes in her arm. At that point, the melanoma had progressed to stage 4. In June of 2022, she had a fairly large tumor removed which followed with 30 radiation treatments with the continuation of immunotherapy. They did genetic testing on the tumor that was removed and discovered it to be an extremely rare type of melanoma that hasn't yet been studied. (Less than 1% of all melanomas have the same genetic makeup as the melanoma found in Kimberly). Kim's doctor told her through tears she had a better chance of winning the lottery than being diagnosed with this type of melanoma cancer. In May of 2023 while still receiving immunotherapy treatments, Kimberly was informed that the melanoma cancer had spread to her lungs. The cancer had metastasized and was stage 4 & terminal. Over the past 3 years, Kim hasn't been able to work and sustain a steady income, she is mostly confined in her home when she isn't at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, receiving treatment for this aggresive cancer. Kimberly and her family have medical bills and expenses so severe that they are seeking any donation that anyone is willing to give. Any donation is appreciated and I thank you from a Mother's heart for any support you are willing to provide. God bless you all, any and all prayers are welcomed and appreciated.
