KIMON BELL LEGAL FUND

Donation protected
Greetings to All,

We, the bereaved family of Kimon Bell, whom we tragically lost in a boating incident involving the Grenada Coast Guard/RGPF on Sunday, April 24 at the tender age of 22, are embarked on pursuing justice through the court system in the State of Grenada.

In properly memorializing our beloved son, nephew, grandson, brother, and cousin, the family aims to secure adequate justice. Simply put, to access justice to the fullest extent of the law in a democratic society, where everyone is supposedly equal in the application of the Constitution and all laws derived and or supported by such supreme law.

Both criminal and civil cases are being prepared for litigation, with principal lawyers retained by the family in those matters. It is, therefore, critical to note that to provide our hired legal practitioners a solid support system as they seek to do battle in the court system, we very much see it to be necessary to (1) compensate them for their diligent and hard work, and (2) provide them with the material and financial resources that will allow them to meet challenges in that respect.

Hence, we are seeking to crowd-source $40,000. We will greatly appreciate your monetary support towards this worthy cause by way of your kind and generous donations, which will ultimately not only help secure justice for Kimon but countless members of our society who are oftentimes denied equal rights and justice because of the lack of financial, material, or legal resources. We say the puck stops with this incident.

We are grateful for your outpouring of condolences and advocacy/protest and for bringing much-needed attention to the valid concerns of the family and well-wishers in demanding proper handling of the investigative process, inclusive of an independent team of investigators, and continuous updates from the authorities as to the status of the ongoing investigation, so the family and the nation at large can have transparency.

We are confident that with the public's continued support, Kimon's rightful and dignified memorial will be realized, as it will seek to serve as a shining precedent in the promotion of a more just society, a more just Grenada.

Once again, thanks for all your support!
