Kimroy Chevans Jr

Kimroy “KJ” Chevans, Jr. was a fighter from birth! He was born on December 2, 2020 with a traumatic medical history including prematurity, being born at 23 weeks, weighing only 1.5 lbs.

He overcame two (grade 4) brain bleeds which led to hydrocephalus, a series of surgeries, and blood transfusions while being on an oxygen machine. KJ spent over 6 months in the NICU until he was given the release to go home.

Though he suffered some physical challenges and in spite of these obstacles, KJ affected the lives of those around him with his contagious smile and fighting spirit. He enjoyed attending therapy, church services, music and hearing the voices of his parents and especially his baby brother. It was amazing to witness such a miracle!

On Sunday, July 23, 2023, KJ passed away unexpectedly. Though he lived a brief life, he has left an indelible mark on those who had the joy to know and love him. He leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories for his family and all to cherish.
