Kindergarten in Stepanakert

Dear Friends,

We are trying to collect funds for a Kindergarten in Stepanakert. Currently, 18 children are attending and most of the children are from displaced families or have certain disabilities that prevent them from attending public kindergartens. 

The headmistress of the facility has written to us asking for financial support as the government has stopped providing funding and requested immediate closure of the facilities.

We have identified that the facility is not running in full capacity and after discussions with social workers, they have revealed that a lot of parents cannot go to work as they have to stay home and look after their children. To assist these parents to go back to work, we have negotiated with the headmistress to take 15 more children and raise the number of attendees to 33. 

In conjunction with the above, we have spoken to AJF (Artsakh’s Judo Federation) for ASB to sponsor 20 children from Displaced and financially unstable families.

We have requested the AJF to pick up the additional 15 children every morning and take them to the kindergarten as a gesture of goodwill. 

The Rent for the kindergarten is 200,000 AMD per month. (Aprox. €400)

The Cost to send 20 children to Judo is 100,000 AMD per month. (Aprox. €200)

The above projects are a continuation of our pledge to try and assist our fellow compatriots in every way possible. It is imperative for us to enable more families to go back to work and find stability in these difficult moments full of uncertainty.
