Kindest Hearted Mom with a Transplanted Heart
Donation protected
Hello my name is Kelly. I’m starting this fund for my sweet sister Cassie or as some of you know her, Sassie Cas or Nicole Cas from Facebook. She has been hospitalized for over a month with complications from her transplanted heart.
Cassie is the definition of a warrior and shares nothing but love and light to those around her. No matter how sick she becomes or how much she struggles, she rarely asks for help.
This momma has been working 2-3 jobs the last 3 years to make her dreams come true. Her fiancé, Justin has also worked to provide for Cassie and her girls. They recently bought a home and started their new lives together. They had been working hard to gather up all the building blocks to give her children, Rose and Cora, a better life.
Then, Cassie got sick and now their lives have all been flipped upside down. Cassie also received a call several days ago that she is being replaced at one of her jobs. She and Justin have been unable to work due to her critical illness.
After the doctors had to stop her heart and shock it back, Cassie sobbed and revealed that she feels helpless. She is going to be in Cleveland visiting the Clinic frequently for 2-3 weeks after discharge. This stay might become longer depending on her heart function and when she finally gets discharged from the Cleveland Clinic.
She still has a long recovery and will be required to stay at The Transplant House of Cleveland which is $60 a day, through her caseworker after discharge from the hospital. Unfortunately, Cassie knows she is going to struggle afford it.
Justin is currently staying by her side and will be her caregiver after discharge.
I worry about my sister getting healthy! I would also like her to be able to focus on healing so she can come home to her children and the rest of our family.
Cassie would never ask for a dime from anyone, she only asks for love and prayers. However, as her sister I am requesting if you are able, can you please help Cassie and her family during this difficult time until she can return home to her family and friends. Thank you and God Bless!
