Support "Kindliness" - A Global Play - Barons Court Theatre.

Hello, my name is Daniel Chaves. I'm a London-based theatremaker and the writer of "Kindliness"; a new play that addresses the growing divisive state of our world. Inspired by the escalating wars and social conflicts that have created further division and polarisation globally, I felt compelled to create a piece of theatre that explores themes of separation, unity, and the possibility of achieving global compassion.
About the Play:
"Kindliness" is a dramatic comedy set in an imaginary nation. It follows the story of Malcolm, a man cheating on his wife with a young immigrant woman. When war suddenly ensues, Malcolm must decide whether to escape violence with his new lover or with his wife and son. The play explores how humans construct the notion of "the other"; addressing issues of tribalism, xenophobia, and cosmopolitanism.
Our Goal:
We aim to stage "Kindliness" at Baron's Court Theatre as part of the Voila Theatre Festival this upcoming November. To bring this vision to life, we need to raise £1,500. These funds will be used to hire rehearsal spaces and cover part of the wages for our dedicated team.
Why Support Us?
Your support will help us inspire audiences to embrace a unified, multicultural society through a thought-provoking and relevant theatrical experience. "Kindliness" has already received high praise for its urgency, comedy, strong characters, and social relevance. We could produce this essential piece of theatre with your generous help.
Thank you for considering supporting "Kindliness." Together, we can heal, protect and inspire change in our world.
