Help Giorgi to Fight Cancer 

#BIAFF Batumi Film Festival Director Giorgi Gogiberidze needs support to fight Cancer!

Giorgi has a cancer diagnosis ( on the liver and lung). He has been undergoing cancer treatment for 2 years. He passed two stages of immunotherapy and currently is doing the third stage of treatment.

So far, the treatment has been funded through insurance/government programs and family/relatives' resources.

The situation is difficult, but according to doctors can be treated - special medical treatment is needed which cannot be financed by existing State programs in Georgia today.

From September, it will be necessary to start a new stage of treatment, which costs 85,000 USD. This new medicament is relatively new and at this moment not financed by the state program in Georgia (as it is not on the approved list in the country). Considering the reality in Georgia, this is a very high amount and it’s too difficult for the family to collect this amount on their own.

A new stage of treatment starts in September and accordingly, the necessary amount should be collected within 1 month.

გიორგი გოგიბერიძე უკვე 2 წელია გადის სიმსივნის მკურნალობის კურსს. უკვე გაიარა იმუნოთერაპიის ორი ეტაპი, ამჟამად გადის მკურნალობის მესამე ეტაპს. გიორგის დიაგნოზია ავთვისებიანი სიმსივნე ღვიძლსა და ფილტვზე. სიტუაცია რთულია, თუმცა, ექიმების დასკვნით, ექვემდებარება მართვას და მკურნალობას - საჭიროა თანამედროვე ტიპის წამლები, რაც დღესდღეობით საქართველოში ვერ ფინანსდება არსებული პროგრამებით.

ამ დრომდე დაზღვევის/სახელმწიფო პროგრამების და ოჯახის/ახლობლების რესურსებით მოხერხდა მკურნალობის დაფინანსება.

სექტემბრიდან აუცილებელი იქნება მკურნალობის ახალი ეტაპის დაწყება, რაც 85,000 აშშ დოლარი ჯდება და ეს წამლები არ ფინანსდება სახელმწიფო პროგრამით. საქართველოში არსებული რეალობის გათვალისწინებით, ეს დიდი თანხაა და ოჯახისთვის დამოუკიდებლად ძალიან რთულია ამ თანხის შეგროვება.

აღნიშნული თანხა 1 თვის განმავლობაში უნდა შეგროვდეს.
