King Charles has Cancer & so does Steve

My name is Lana Burchell and I am raising funds for my dad, Steve Burchell. Unfortunately, his cancer is back. In 2015 he was given 3-5 years but he did an alternative treatment in England and has been cancer free until very recently.

The theme of 2024's World Cancer Day was making treatments available and accessible for all. However, alternative treatments that aren't chemotherapy or radiation, aren't covered by OHIP. This is where you come in. I are asking for $5000 for the hypathermia treatment itself. This is the same treatment he received last time, but will be done in Canada, and under the supervision of a Naturopath doctor. Any money raised above and beyond will pay for staff wages as my dad needs to be off for 3 months while he receives treatment.

And why should you participate? My dad is an incredible guy. Not too many people know this, but I'm adopted. My dad often talks about his favourite memory of us, which is when I came home and I said, "Hi daddy" and gave him a ginormous hug.

Secondly. He donated a kidney to his best friend in 2004. He sponsored many many kids through Compassion Canada and was an Ambassador for them, helping thousands of kids in developing countries have access to basic necessities.

He's so loving and kind to my Gran, The Tea Queen, Wendy. It's a joy to see. He's been a pillar in the local communi-TEA for over 15 years with Steve's Teas and I welcome the opportunity to allow others to assist him as he has helped so many others.
