Kings Cliffe Flood Wardens
Donation protected
Many of the residents in Kings Cliffe will be aware of the bad flooding we have had in the community over the last few years, mainly on the main routes in and out of the village.
The Flood Wardens are a small group of volunteers in the village that have come together to help all the local residents and those who may not live in the village, mange during times of flooding. This can be by helping the flow of traffic, closing off sections of road where the water can damage cars, clearing drains, clearing up debris washed off lanes / fields and much more.
The group wants to try and help in these situations and as a voluntary group, we have no funding as such. We have taken part in local training courses and we will continue to do so when possible.
We have approached the local council, charities and other organisations to obtain funds to buy some very simple bits of kit, cones, heavy duty brushes, shovels, water pumps for use in people’s homes and much more. But all this is very hard to get because free money is very rare now for this.
As a community, you will be aware how we have helped in the past and we would love your help and support now so that we can buy some basic kit to help you in the future.
Every penny really would help, we don’t expect to make huge amounts, but we would be so grateful of your support.
Thank you so much!
