Kingsley Wallace Hospital and Home Costs

Hi everyone❤️ I am Brooke Atkins, Mama to Kingsley.
As a lot of you know, unfortunately our baby boy Kingsley Wallace has been in hospital for 5 days so far with uncontrollable seizures, caused by a rare neurological disorder, known as Sturge Weber Syndrome.
These seizures are due to the fact that his port wine stain birthmark is inside his brain and makes it a lot more difficult to manage.
He has had over 15 seizures so far, not including the small cluster seizures in between. The neurologist team is trying out different medications, to see which ones his body best responds to and what dosage is required but this is proving to take a lot longer than what we thought.
Meanwhile with all this going on, Kingsleys Dad is not able to work, while also having to split his time with caring for our autistic 2 and half year old daughter and supporting our son and Myself at the hospital.
Since having to move to Queensland Childrens hospital, from Gold Coast University Hospital, Kinglseys Dad and our daughter (and his Aunty who takes over care for our daughter when dad goes to hospital) have had to stay at hotels close by. In total this has cost almost $2000 for 5 nights (we get $60 back a night with hospital accommodation reimbursement) With only one income and bills to pay, our family is struggling and will really feel an impact from it in the following weeks, especially when we don’t know when Kingsley will be able to go home.
I’m at a loss and on top of all the emotional stress, the financial stress is creeping up slowly.
We have been so thankful to have received a donation from Melissa Duffy and her family, who has recently fundraised money for SWS families❤️❤️And this has helped alot!
And of course my sister and her husband❤️
Even with the generosity of these beautiful families, we are still in need of help!
