Kino’s Top Surgery Fund!

Hey! I’m kino, I’m a 33 year old non-binary queer artist living in the Midwest. I work a 50 hour a week day job, and I’m raising funds to mitigate the loss of income I’ll have while on FMLA after top surgery.

 

my top surgery date is Dec 15, 2022! My insurance is covering the cost of surgery for me, so that isn’t a financial burden I’ll have to bear. However, I will be on FMLA for three to four weeks post operation to recover, and I will not have any income at that time. I have a mortgage to pay, cell phone and food bills to cover, pets to keep fed, electricity and water to pay for, and groceries. My partner helps me a lot, but between the two of us, we often just barely squeak by as is, and the loss of my income during this recovery period will be a nightmare.

 

 

 

I make $15 an hour at my job, and at 50 hours a week that’s $2360 a month plus $225 in overtime. I have car payments, car insurance, a mortgage payment, etc… it all adds up! I am also chronically overdrawn due to the cost of living.

 

 

 

this is where I’m at, at the moment, and this happens every month. I’m hoping to bundle together enough money to help me stay afloat after this gender affirming surgery in order to keep my household intact and hopefully get ahead a little on bills.
