Kinsey's Dominican Republic Trip

I'm Kinsey. I am a teacher by profession, but God has given me a heart for missions. Over the years, God has blessed me with opportunities to travel to and even live in other countries, and I have thoroughly loved serving in those capacities.
This summer, I have been given the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Rebuplic with a mission team for a week. I have never been to the DR, and I am very excited to go! The trip will consist of a baseball and volleyball camp, as well as a VBS. The purpose of the camps are twofold. First, we want to share the gospel of Jesus with the children and their families. This is the most important reason for the trip. We also want to work to build relationships with the families of the community in hopes of starting a church one day. Currently, there is no Christian church for the 23,000 people who live in the community.
There is also a personal side to this trip for me as well. I currently sponsor a child in the community we will be serving for the week. I get to send her letters and pray for her, but I would love to meet her and get to know her. While on this trip, I will be able to do just that!
Your contribution to my trip will go directly towards the $1600.00 cost of the trip, allowing me to serve the community through the camps and giving me the opportunity to meet the child I sponsor. But most importantly, your contribution will be used to further the gospel of Jesus in the DR. The trip must be paid in full by the beginning of June.
