KIPP Bloom Majorettes to Dancing Dolls Bootcamp

Every kid deserves a chance to use their creative talents to make a change and express themselves. The mission of KIPP Chicago, an open-enrollment public charter school network, is to empower students with the character and academic skills necessary to persist through college, pursue passions with confidence, and lead for a more just Chicago. With that in mind, a dedicated KIPP employee and alumni Ms.Mya Clark founded KIPP Bloom’s first ever Elite Majorette team on Chicago’s South Side campus. Our team of 20 students has been working tirelessly since September, learning dance techniques, engaging in different performances and learning a variety of dance styles

We hope that in April of 2023 our KIPP Bloom Elite Majorette team will be able to attend Mrs.Diana Williams, Dancing Dolls 3 day Majorette Boot Camp in Hammond, Indiana. While there, our passionate students will have the opportunity to learn the art of Field Show, Parade, Hip Hop Battle Choreography. In addition, the KIPP Bloom Elite Majorette team will learn performance prep activities for all sections of the camp. All students will perform on the final day of camp in a huge showcase that is open to the public where also dance teams from around the U.S. come to compete!
