KIPP Football Letterman Jacket Fundraiser
Donation protected
After starting the football program in 2017, we are currently heading into our 4th season as a varsity program and as a program, our players have worked so diligently to achieve many of their athletic and academic goals. Over the past three seasons, I have watched these young student-athletes grow and mature and drastically change not only the culture of athletics at KIPP Academy, but also change the culture of the entire school by being great examples of leaders in our school community.
Last year, our team took a gigantic step towards history when they not only made the MIAA playoffs for the first time, but won their league title and won a sectional division title! We were just one game away from competing at Gillette stadium for a state-title. These incredible young men and women of our football program worked tirelessly in the weightroom, the film room, on the field and in the classroom to achieve this goal.
Although our athletes fundraise multiple times throughout the year to help defer the cost of basic equipment and other football needs, our program is drastically underfunded relative to other programs in our league. Our players contend with many challenges both on and off the field and they persevere through it all. This year they finished the season 9-3 with two championships to their credit. Our coaching staff could not be more proud of the work ethic and the commitment that these players have displayed. We want to celebrate them and acknowledge the huge accomplishments this program has made in just its first three seasons.
OUR GOAL is for all of our players to receive their own Varsity Letterman Jackets. This would be the first KIPP Letterman Jackets ever made! We are currently working to raise the funds to purchase these jackets on our own ($200 per player) which is a substantial amount. Your donation gives the entire roster the opportunity to wear a jacket that exemplifies the effort and accomplishment that these players have earned. We believe that KIPP football players should have the opportunity to wear these jackets with pride, much like many other football and athletic programs do across the country.
I am an assistant coach for the KIPP Panthers. I will be withdrawing funds into my own bank account and handling all expenses.
