Kip’s Cancer Battle

Dear Family & Friends,

I initiated the creation of this GoFundMe page with the primary objective of providing assistance to both myself and family as we face the many obstacles associated with my medical bills and the essential chemotherapy treatments. Approximately eight months ago, I received the distressing news of my testicular cancer diagnosis. Shortly after receiving this diagnosis, I underwent an orchiectomy to resect the mixed germ cell tumor. Following my surgery, my health returned to its usual state, lasting until about two months ago. Unfortunately, a couple of months ago, I began to encounter the same troubling symptoms that had prompted my initial surgery. After undergoing additional CT scans, ultrasounds, and blood work, I received the disheartening news that the cancer had metastasized to my abdomen, close to my heart.

I began my first chemotherapy cycle on October 16th and completed it October 31st. The truth is, nothing in this world can prepare you for something like this. As of right now, the plan is to fight through two more cycles of chemo to hopefully eliminate this terrible disease that currently lives inside of me.

Before I conclude this post, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read this. We are all affected by cancer one way or another and I think it safe to say that it truly sucks. Your support through thoughts and prayers would certainly mean the world to my family and I.
