Kira Waters Recovery From Injury

On December 3rd, Kira was severely injured by a fall while performing on stage. She fell about 18 feet to the stage floor. She was taken by ambulance to the local hospital to be evaluated. It was determined that her injuries were beyond what they could treat, so she was then transferred by ambulance to University Hospital in Madison.

Xrays revealed that her pelvis was broken to the extent it needed surgical repair. A metal plate was implanted to stabilize it. She was released in a wheelchair and is now able to use a walker for short distances.

Kira was a gymnast as a teen, and competed successfully. She played basketball, volleyball and participated in track at school. Her biggest passion now is her horses. She competed in barrel racing and gymkhana, and enjoys traveling with them for trail rides in local and distant locations. Hiking to explore new areas is also a favorite activity. She hopes to continue doing these things after she has healed.

Please help Kira with a donation toward her daily living expenses and extensive medical bills. Her full recovery will take many months. She did not have medical insurance and is unable to work at this time. She may also need to return to school to learn a new profession.
