Help for Kirby & Deanna Phillips

My name is Stacy, I am starting this fundraiser to help my sister Deanna and brother-in-law Kirby through his current medical crisis.

Kirby fell ill Nov 26 with what they assumed was the cold/flu going around. Within hours of arriving at the ER on Nov 27 he was admitted to the ICU in extremely critical condition and placed on a ventilator - where he currently remains - for what we now know is Staphylococcus Pneumonia that lead to sepsis. We are cautiously optimistic, but the reality is that his lungs, kidneys and heart are not functioning as they should, and we don't know at this point if they ever will again. They have a long road ahead.

My sister Deanna has been splitting her time at the hospital with Kirby and home with their four grandsons. They are in the final stages of adopting the boys after their mother, Deanna's oldest daughter Kayleigh, tragically passed away earlier this year. Deanna of course has been unable to work during this time and is currently the sole provider as Kirby had been recovering from a recent injury and unable to return to work yet.

As you can imagine, money is extremely tight for them, especially being the holiday season, but the most pressing need at this time is to get their health insurance paid so Kirby does not lose coverage while fighting to stay alive.

Deanna & Kirby are kind, generous, selfless, wonderful people raising four of the sweetest little boys you could ever hope to meet. It's heartbreaking to see all they have gone through this year, and we are desperately hoping people will find it in their hearts to give back to this amazing family and ease some of the financial burden so they can focus on Kirby and all of their healing.
