Kirby Green Grochal Memorial ❤️
Donation protected
Our cherished friend, Kirby Green Grochal, passed away on May 19, 2023, five years after being diagnosed with pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer. She was the loving wife of Andrew Grochal and a dedicated mother to Derek (7 years old) and Sydney (5 years old.)
To honor Kirby and her family, we (friends of the Greens + Grochals) are raising money to support The Auburndale Community Library and local children's literacy programs.
Kirby loved books and read bedtime stories to her kids every night, even when she was feeling horrible from chemo or radiation. The Auburndale Community Library is a non-profit library (100% funded by donations) just a few minutes walk from the Grochal's home. Kirby loved bringing the kids there.
Our goal is to create a memorial within the library where Andrew can bring Derek and Sydney to show them the wonderful legacy their mom created, something tangible the kids can remember their mom by forever.

When Kirby was diagnosed with aggressive cancer, days after giving birth to her daughter Sydney, she was told she had one year to live. Kirby fought so hard over the past five years, doing everything she possibly could to be there for her husband, Andrew, and their two young children.
Kirby had no regrets about the way she lived her life and often said how grateful she was to be surrounded by such incredible family and friends throughout every stage of her life. Kirby's wish is to be remembered not as a cancer patient, but as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend.
If you would like to express your love and support for Kirby and her family, please consider contributing.

We also set-up a meal train for the Grochal family: Meal Train
