Kirchner Family Support Fund

Donation protected
On Friday evening, September 20th, 2024, the world lost an incredibly bright light when Joseph Niles Kirchner was killed in a motorcycle accident close to his home. His new bride, Bridget Wermers Kirchner survived the accident and is healing from severe injuries and a broken heart.

The Kirchner Family has been overwhelmed by the love and condolences coming in to honor their son & brother and shares the following sentiments:

The past week has been tragic, shocking, and filled with immense heartbreak. We are so grateful to live in a community where love has poured in from every source to honor Joe and to celebrate his impact on this world.

We love Bridget dearly and we want to give her all the time she needs to heal. Memorial services for Joseph Niles will be planned and announced in the coming months, when she is well enough to attend and grieve alongside the family. There is a GoFundMe to cover the hospital and medical expenses for our beloved sister-in-law, Bridget. Thank you to all who are donating to this fund to support her.

A Celebration of Life will also be announced in the coming months for musicians, artists, friends and the community to gather in celebration of Joe. It's important for us to give back to the community in the spirit of Joe’s generosity and love. Locations and dates will be shared early to allow ample time for everyone to book flights and travel.

We are sick with grief.

The darkness will not last forever, the light will always shine through.

In Joe's honor: Do not hold back. You were born to shine. Take that divine spark you were gifted with and share it with everyone.

‘It’s the same story the crow told me
It’s the only one he know
Like the morning sun you come
And like the wind you go
Ain’t no time to hate
Barely time to wait
Whoa, oh, what I want to know
Where does the time go?’

Please consider supporting the Kirchner family with the immediate expenses regarding Joe’s death as well as providing the seed money for a non-profit organization we are creating that will carry on his legacy.

If you prefer to donate directly rather than through GoFundMe, checks can be sent to Wells Fargo account #1055202137.

Pinky and the Floyd band members are so grateful for the support of the Kirchner family and Bridget as well as the outpouring of love that our family, friends and fans have shown us. We will keep you updated as we progress with our plans to celebrate the life of a truly talented, unique and loving musician: Joe Kirchner.
