UPDATE 8/17 - Thank you so much for all the love and sincere, heartfelt messages we have received about Kirk. He really was a wonderful friend who brought so much laughter and light to the world. Kirk is one of my best friends on this planet- We are so sad to have to say goodbye. We intend to use the funds for final expenses, a celebration of life and to help our Lahaina community regain strength. Will keep you posted as we try to move forward in this impossible situation.

UPDATE 8/16- It’s with saddest of hearts I post this. Our beloved friend Kirk Carter has passed on to the great festival in the sky!! Due to complications of burns he received during the Lahaina fire. We love you brother!! More than you'll ever know. Thank you everyone for all your support and love. It's so much to process and thank you for your patience as we decide what's next.

UPDATE 8/12 - Thank you so much for your outpouring of love and support! Kirk remains in ICU for extensive burns and smoke inhalation. His body is resting and doing the work to heal. The Doctors assure me that no news is good news, and they will update us if anything major changes. It's a long road to recovery and I so much appreciate everyone thinking of him. He is so loved. Thanks!

We hit the original goal of 5k! I'm going to bump it up to 10k and hope we can give him a cushion to land on when he recovers. Thank you thank you thank you!

Aloha friends- You know we all love this guy and he's going to need some help. Kirk is the kind of guy who would triple the dose of hospitality for his friends, coworkers and visitors. Unfortunately, he was badly injured during the Lahaina fires and is in ICU and will need help. We don't know much else yet, but will keep you updated.
