Kirk Dietz Medical Bill Fundraiser
Donation protected
On Sunday April 11th, 2021 Kirk was on a bike ride before church like he does every Sunday. He and a family member were hit by a car and Kirk was life flighted to Rogue Regional Medical Center. Kirk had surgery that morning on his neck where they found his spinal cord was damaged. He has limited feeling and muscle control below his chest and the doctors have prepared Kirk and his wife Cindy that he may not walk again. He spent 9 weeks in the hospital receiving intensive medical care and inpatient rehab to increase his function to be able to return home.
Kirk has since returned home on June 8th, 2021. Uncle Kirk and Aunt Cindy are working on developing a new routine at home where Cindy is the primary caregiver, but it has been a steep learning curve. We have set a goal of $50,000 to raise for my Uncle Kirk and Aunt Cindy for all of the hospital expenses, loss of work for both of them, an adaptive vehicle to transport Kirk, support care to aid with Kirk’s daily needs and continued therapy services.
These funds will greatly help take the financial burden off of my Uncle Kirk and Aunt Cindy with the long road ahead of them. My Uncle Kirk is a fighter and doesn't give up easily, he is the toughest person we know. My Uncle Kirk is thankful that he is still able to use his upper body and is doing his best to stay positive and know God has him in his hands. We are so appreciative of your donations, prayers and love you have sent to Kirk and Cindy.
