Hear ye, hear ye, a tale to unfold,
Of Kirkfield United, brave and bold.
A merry band of lads, young and keen,
Bound for Blackpool, to fulfil their dream.
From Lanark's lands, they come with zest,
Each player putting his skills to the test.
A brotherhood on grass, united in play,
Off to the Spring Football Fiesta, hooray!
"Our club's a place where friendships grow,
Where coaches guide us, and we glow.
The joy of football, pure and true,
Brings out the best in me and you."
With hearts set on the 24th of May,
To Blackpool they'll go, come what may.
Two days of sport, laughter, and ice cream,
Under the sun’s gentle, warming beam.
They've been as busy as bees in a hive,
Creating a mascot, bringing joy alive.
A games night, a climb, all part of the plan,
To make their way to the seaside span.
In these times, when every penny counts,
They seek your support in small amounts.
For a journey long, to the seaside they'll steer,
With a mascot leading, bringing up the rear.
Just £5 a mile, or whatever you can spare,
To show these young lads that you truly care.
Updates will come, of their mascot’s roam,
And perhaps of their own journey home.
So lend a hand, help their dreams come true,
For with your support, there's nothing they can't do.
Join their adventure, be part of the story,
And in their success, we'll all share the glory.
