Kisoboka Uganda 2024
Donation protected

Hello and welcome from Team Kisoboka Uganda! Together, we form a group of twelve first- and second-year medical students at the Long School of Medicine in San Antonio, Texas. This summer we will travel to Uganda alongside two physicians from UTHSCSA as a part of several ongoing projects including clinical evaluations, HIV medication delivery and outreach, sexual health education, and research on Nodding Syndrome, a rare disease endemic to the Northern Ugandan and South Sudanese region.
WEND is seeking $2000 for much-needed HIV medication and education efforts and has seen a significant, increased need for both throughout and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, we are attempting to raise a $800 for each medical student to support us during our time in Uganda. WEND has graciously offered an incredible array of gifts in consideration of your generosity, with the different donation tiers outlined in the flyer attached to this page. If you are unable to donate today, please share this with friends and family to spread the word!
We thank you in advance for your support, and appreciate your consideration of our cause! You can learn more about WEND and Nodding Syndrome by clicking on the hyperlinked sites. Through you, "Kisoboka" ("It is possible" in Acholi) can be a reality for those we serve in Gulu and beyond. Beera bulungi! (Stay well!)
