Our beautiful daughter and sister Kissmery was on her way home from work on December 15th, 2020 when she suffered a tragic car accident at the hands of a man who was able to return to his home the same evening without injury. Kissmery lost her life instantly and with heavy hearts, just days before Christmas, we said our final goodbyes to our pride & joy at the tender age of 19.
Kissmery was a loving spirit, full of energy & hope to share with the friends and family she had all over; from New York to Puerto Rico, Rhode Island to Dominican Republic and even her final resting place in Florida.
With two children, Kissmery's mother Iris yearned for another child and she arrived to the world, embraced into a large & loving family. She was to begin her college journey in January, just shy of her 20th birthday. She dreamed of studying business and finance, following in the footsteps of her older sister, Vannessa. Extremely talented from a young age, she was a lover of the arts, with an eye for fashion, an ear for good music and a hand for painting, similar to her older brother, Nick and stepfather, Pablo. She spent years studying dance and theater and absolutely loved playing sports any chance she could get.
Like her mother, those who knew her remember her as a firecracker; fearless and independent in every way. Her kindness and gentle nature could be seen in the way she loved children, coaching children's soccer and caring for her nephew AJ, who ran to her first every chance he could get.
We are all in shock by this sudden loss and will carry this grief with us forever. I am Illianes Vannessa, her older sister. Our family wishes to transport Kissmery to a private estate where her family and friends can honer her memory at her final resting place. We are also gathering donations to set up Kissmery's estate with an attorney. We kindly ask for your support as we are no longer able to give her what we wished to give her in life. Though she is with the Lord now, in paradise forevermore, we fiercely grieve her absence from our lives and would do anything to change these circumstances.
We are thankful for everyone near and far who has expressed their condolences and lifted our family up during this time. The support we have received has been extremely valuable and the love you each had for Kissmery is seen in every word and act of kindness you've shared.
Thank you in advance for your support. Help us to honor Kissmery's memory and give our family a sliver of peace.
